It’s day 26th of 90 days daily writing challenge. I have started this challenge to improve my English writing and thinking skills to an extent where I can write high quality articles effortlessly.
I am trying my best to be as consistent as possible with writing an article daily but I am at the moment where it’s getting a bit harder to keep up with it. In this article I will share some major reasons that I believe have contributed to this situation.
Not making enough progress
It has been 25 days since I started writing but the improvement I was expecting isn’t what I have achieved over these days. It may seems like I am being unrealistic but that’s not factually correct because I know I haven’t put the effort required to see the right results. I was too confused with whether I should prioritize developing this skill or I should focus more on getting android dev job. To be honest I haven’t even decided yet which one should I put more focus on. This chaos has hindered my progress in both the field. Slow progress has declined my interest in both the skills.
Having hard time finding relevant topic to write on
Coming up with the relevant topic daily to write on is quite challenging for me because I see myself lacking in knowledge on various subjects and matter so writing about them won’t be a right decision. I can write about what I do day to day but that would make it repetitive because most of my day routine are very similar. I don’t do much all throughout the day so I don’t think writing about it would be any valuable. Although I can write on topics like android development but that would be irrelevant to the niche of this site.
Distraction due to interview preparation
As I have discussed earlier I have to prepare and apply for android dev jobs too so I am unable to give all into this skill. I want a job not only for money but also to stay relevant in the android dev world too. Although I don’t have any financial problem but earning of my own would surely make me feel much better about myself. I spent few hours everyday to go through all the important android dev topics. The problem is I have forgotten a lot of concepts so I have to put intense focus and hard work to understand them again in order to tackle any question surrounding them that I may get asked in the interview. By the time I am done with android interview preparation I am left with very little to less mental energy to go for writing.
My experience writing this article
I have tried to be as concise as possible with this article but I don’t know if I am exactly able to come up with the best possible points to describe the situation. I will edit this article later on to see what are the possible changes that I can come up with to enhance the quality of this article.
Time it took me to write this article
It took me close to 50 minutes to write this article. As a beginner who haven’t put much effort yet this article is quite good in terms of quality for this timeframe.
