Its day 20th of 90 days daily article writing challenge to improve English writing and thinking skills. The aim of this challenge is to become proficient enough to produce high quality articles effortlessly.
In this article I will be sharing why I am thinking to write something relevant to English language rather than trying to write on some random topics. Though I am not sure about this now but still I want to share my thoughts on why I want to make this move.
Content will resonate with my blog
Since my blog is related to English language it would be much more valuable to produce content that are relevant to the language itself. Writing about random topics do surely helps with the language learning but as a beginner I have realised its better to not choose something over which I don’t have much knowledge. As of now my priority is to gain knowledge and share that knowledge through writing about it on my blog. It would be more efficient if I share whatever I am learning related to the subject.
Expansion of vocabulary, idioms and phrasal verbs
Since one of the main reason for creating this blog was to have a collection of vocabularies, idioms and phrasal verbs to look up whenever the need arises so it would be much more fulfilling to have them on this site. Consuming contents such as videos,articles and books exposes me to a lots of new words, idioms and phrasal verbs which I forgot later on because I don’t note them down anywhere so keeping record of their meaning and usage on this site would surely help me to go through them whenever I want. Writing meaning and usage of each of them in my own words will help me to store them into my long term memory.
Better learning
As of now my goal is to become proficient at English and it would serve me much better if I put my whole focus on learning the language by consuming and producing articles very relevant to the language. Sharing one’s thoughts and opinion requires much greater understanding and in depth knowledge of the topic in order to make sense. It would be a wise move to concentrate on acquiring deep knowledge and sound understanding of the subject before putting them into words.
My experience writing this article
Writing this article was pretty much easier as the points shared are quite simple so putting them into words weren’t a big deal. Although there’s a lot of more points that can be added to this article but as a beginner I am not focusing much on coming up with the best one.
Time it took me to write this article
It took me 45 minutes to complete this article which is the shortest amount of time consumed writing articles until now. I would say being able to come up with this article within this timeframe is a quite good improvement to me.
