This article is continuation of my daily writing challenge to improve my English and get better at writing complex article effortlessly. I will be doing this for 90 days straight to see how much of progress I can make over time.
To have a very good communication skills its necessary to be fluent in the language so I have personally tried out different ways to achieve fluency and I am sharing those ways in this very article.
Trying to talk in English as much as possible
I try my best to talk as much as possible with my friends and colleagues which helps me build confidence and get better at speaking with more fluency. At first when I tried doing so I was having hard time expressing myself and sometimes my mind would go blank but over time I got better and now I can easily hold conversation without much stuttering. This method helped me a lot in taking away the hesitation and fear of making mistakes while speaking and made fun of in doing so.
Recording audios and videos of myself speaking English
I have been recording myself speaking on some random topics everyday since 19 days. In 19 days itself, it has helped me a lot to face camera and become comfortable with my voice too. I always rewatch the video after recording and look after the any mistakes or flaws that I need to fix. Recording oneself is one of the best way to analyze and have feedback of not only the speaking skills but also of ones expressions and body language. I would highly suggest this method for anyone who are new to the language.
Watching and studying other English speakers
This method is the most important one that I find to be the catalyst in my journey. Watching other speakers helps to replicate the style and the pronunciation too which helps a lot when communicating with others. I can say for sure that studying the way the native speakers speaks and forms the sentences helped me make progress much faster than the other ones. Putting selective attention to every words and sentences the speakers uses helps a lot in grasping them for later use. Most of my learning has been acquired from this one method itself so I highly recommend this one to anybody who have just started their learning journey.
My Experience writing this article
Writing this article was much easier than the other ones as it didn’t took me too long to come up with the right words and sentences. I was more confident in this one as I have thought a lot about these things previously too. Although this article isn’t as good as it should be but I am pretty satisfied with the progress.
Time it took me to finish this article
It took me 1 hour in total to write this article. I know its way more than normal but being a starter I am not expecting much so I am quite happy with the results.
